Body Found In River Near Rankin Bridge

BRADDOCK (KDKA) - A body was found in the river near the Rankin Bridge on Sunday.

Allegheny County 911 dispatchers told KDKA News that emergency responders were called to the Monongahela River in Braddock shortly before 9 a.m.

Officials say that a body was found between 8th Street and the Rankin Bridge, near the Carrie Furnace.

The Allegheny County medical examiner's office identified the victim as 28-year-old Arsenio Ahmad House, from Leflore County in Mississippi.

Allegheny County Police are investigating.
