Allegheny County Police Investigating After Body Found In Monongahela River

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A body was found in the Monongahela River on Sunday afternoon.

Just after 6 p.m., Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire was called to an area of the Monongahela River around the 4700 block of East Carson Street when Baldwin Borough requested their help for reports of a possible body in the water.

A man's body was located and pulled from the river. It was transported to the boathouse on the North Shore.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the man as 55-year-old Kenneth Subotich of Munhall.

Allegheny County Police are investigating the incident.

The cause of death will be determined by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner.
