Bob Walk: No More Snide Remarks About The Lineup

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Pirates broadcaster Bob Walk joined "The Fan Morning Show" in his regular weekly spot on Wednesday to talk about the Bucs after they started off the week with back-to-back wins over the Tigers.

Walk told the guys that he's done making light of the Pirates' lineup sans Andrew McCutchen and Neil Walker.

"I keep saying it, and they keep doing it, so I'm going to kind of shut up about it a little bit," Walk said. "I told somebody last night, I'm going to quit making snide remarks about the lineup. I mean, these guys are going out there and doing just a hell of a job. So, I tip my hat to them."

He was proud of Pirates' fans for the way they cheered Pedro Alvarez last night and have supported him during his rough patch this season.

"I think it's very classy of the fans the way they reacted," Walk said. "I think it's kind of the Pirates fans thanking him for what he did last year, obviously a special thing. Them showing him support right now when he's going through this tough time is great, and I think it probably means a lot to him."

Walk can be heard on "The Fan Morning Show" every Wednesday at 8:40 a.m.
