Blue Ribbon Farm's Little Farmers Day Camp

This summer, one area ranch is opening its doors to kids to teach them more about where their food comes from and to get hands-on experience with farm animals.

The Blue Ribbon Farm's Little Farmers Day Camp is hoping that interaction can sprout into something big.

Kids will learn how to care for a garden, collect eggs and prepare dishes made from goods grown on the farm.

The experience also includes feeding a newborn calf, riding a pony and caring for a host of animals including goats, ducks, chickens and baby pigs.

The farmer's camp sessions run through July in Aliquippa and are open for kids ages 4 to 13.
