Blast Causes Water Main Break, Landslide In North Huntingdon Twp.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Crews are on the scene of a water main break that was caused by a dynamite blast.

It happened along Route 993 in North Huntingdon Township, where crews are extending the Cleveland Price transmission plant.

Reportedly a contracting company was using dynamite, when a water main broke, sending debris onto the road below.

Route 993 from Mahaffey Hill Road to Pine Hollow Road, near Trafford, is closed until further notice.

No injuries were reported, but there are water outages in the area.
