Bikers Give Out Hundreds Of Backpacks To Homewood Kids

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Hundreds of local children now have backpacks to start the school year, thanks to some bikers.

The Pittsburgh Gentlemen Bikers and Club Serenity gave away over 400 new book bags and school supplies to children in Homewood.

"Sometime we get some negative press about the club. But, you know, we hope that this will generate some positive press because we do try to be a positive asset in the community, as opposed to a negative asset," said Club Serenity manager Ali.

They were also giving away food and beverages at the event.

Eighteen men are part of the Pittsburgh Gentlemen.

It's one of four gentlemen chapters across the country.
