Pa. State House Passes Bike Lane Safety Bill

HARRISBURG (KDKA) - The Pennsylvania State House unanimously passed a bike lane bill named in memory of a woman killed in Oakland six years ago.

Susan Hicks was stopped at a red light near Forbes Avenue in 2015 when she was hit by a vehicle from behind.

The bill would allow municipalities to create parking-protected bike lanes that are separate from traffic.
