Bengals DL Devon Still Reflects On Inspiration From His Daughter

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - By now you've heard the story about Cincinnati Bengals defensive lineman Devon Still's daughter Leah as she battles with pediatric cancer.

Still joined the Starkey and Mueller show to talk more about this and the inspiration he gets watching his daughter's courageous battle.

Still talked about what the journey has been like since his daughter's diagnosis.

"It's definitely been a long journey, a lot of ups and downs but I feel like it's been more positive than negative," Still said. "My daughter has been strong through this whole battle and she continues to take this fight on, straight up and right now we're just waiting to get some test results back from her MIBG radiation that she had about three weeks ago so we can know how much of the cancer is still left in her body."

Still also talked about how he has found the strength to go through all of this.

"Honestly like I've been telling a lot of people, I get a lot of my strength from my daughter," Still said.  "If she wasn't taking this all too well it would probably be hard on me, but because she continues to smile through everything and we continue to have support from the whole country and just a lot of prayers help me be able to deal with it."

Still also talked about what life on the field has been like for him, the lack of respect the Bengals get because of their playoff failures, the escape football provides for him and being a Penn State graduate, what he thinks about a potential bowl matchup with Pitt.
