Ben & Jerry's Co-Founders Campaign For Bernie Sanders In Market Square

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) -- The co-founders of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream were in Market Square Thursday.

The duo were giving away ice cream while campaigning for Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders. They call it a "political revolution ice cream social."

Co-founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield have been outspoken in their support for the presidential candidate.

Earlier in the week they were among 300 people arrested during protests at the U.S. Capitol.

The Vermont-based ice cream company's website says the purpose of the protests is to make sure everyone's voice is heard "and that power in this country is returned to the people."
