Beaver Murder Suspect Facing Additional Charges, Including Rape

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A man accused of killing his girlfriend in Beaver County is now facing additional charges.

Edward Baker Jr. is now additionally charged with criminal trespass, burglary, possession of a firearm by a person not to possess and rape.

30-year-old Addaleigh Amelia Huzyak was found dead in her apartment in Beaver on June 6.

The manhunt for Baker began immediately. He left behind a suicide note at his father's home where he lived.

According to Winchester Police in Kentucky, officers tracked Baker's cell phone to a rest stop along Interstate 64. Initially, he was asleep in his car when officers approached and tried to apprehend him.

Baker said he wouldn't give himself up and told officers, "Just shoot and kill me."

He has been a registered sex offender since 2013 under Megan's Law.
