Authorities Seeking Tips Regarding Police Academy Cheating Scandal

HERSHEY, Pa. (AP) - Pennsylvania's inspector general is seeking tips from the public as the agency looks into allegations of cheating at the State Police Academy in Hershey.

The inspector general's office said Friday it was collecting information through 1-844-307-9997 or online at www.oig.pa.gov .

The state police has said dozens of cadets left the academy as a result of the cheating investigation.

The most recent class lost more than half its 116 cadets by the time it graduated last month.

Officials have provided few details about what they believe occurred.

Cadets are repeatedly tested during the seven months they're at the academy.
