Attorney General Suing Illegal Beaver Co. Fireworks Company

BEAVER COUNTY (KDKA) – The state Attorney General's office has filed a civil action suit against an illegal fireworks company in Aliquippa.

Attorney General Kathleen Kane says A-Rocket Fireworks has been operating without a legal permit – and was issuing its own illegal permits.

Undercover purchases were made my agents as part of a state-wide sweep.

Four fireworks companies were also sued by the AG's office, but settled. They will pay a total of $22,000 in fines and investigation costs.

A-Rocket Fireworks is the only one that did not settle. It released a statement to KDKA over the phone.

"We assure our customers everything is done legally," said the owner's son.
