Police Investigate Armed Robbery At PNC Bank Inside PNC Park

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Officials are investigating an armed robbery at the PNC Bank inside PNC Park.

The incident happened on Friday at approximately 4:45 p.m. at 107 Federal Street inside PNC Park.

Investigators say the male entered the bank and handed a note that demanded money.

The man got away with cash, though it is not known how much was stolen.

Friday's robbery is among a string of robberies in the Pittsburgh area this week.

The Pittsburgh FBI is also searching for a suspect involved in a bank robbery at the Citizens Bank in Turtle Creek on Thursday.

Officials said the man in the picture below is considered a suspect.

There were also two robberies in Bloomfield this week.

Police said two armed men with masks on robbed the Mia Pizza shop on Baum Boulevard on Monday.

The men pointed guns at the employees and demanded they open the register. The suspects got away in an older-model SUV with hundreds of dollars from the register.

Police are also investigating a robbery on Thursday at the Rite Aid in Bloomfield on Howley Street.

Witnesses said the robber was wearing a ski mask, demanded money, indicated that he had a gun and ran away when he got the money.

Officials in Dormont are looking for a man who robbed a gas station on Tuesday and the Hollywood Theater on Wednesday. A surveillance picture of the suspect has been released, police believe the two robberies are connected.

Also on Shaler an armed robbery also Wednesday took place at the Sunoco at Route 8 and Saxonburg Boulevard.

And Pittsburgh Police are also investigating a robbery at the Family Dollar in Crafton Heights Monday along Chartiers Avenue.
