Arrest Warrant Issued In Swissvale Teen's Homicide

SWISSVALE (KDKA) -- An arrest warrant has been issued in the May homicide of a teen in Swissvale.

According to Allegheny County Police, on May 18, a 17-year-old male was shot multiple times in Collingswood Park in Swissvale. The victim was identified as Valon Davies. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A warrant has been issued for 19-year-old William H. Smoot after police determined he was responsible for the homicide.

Smoot is described as a black man who is about 5-feet 6-inches tall with a thin build. Police say he has ties to Swissvale.

The arrest warrant charges him with homicide, robbery, weapons violations and recklessly endangering another person.
