Arrest Made In Fatal New Castle Shooting Case

NEW CASTLE (KDKA) – Police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting in New Castle last week.

According to New Castle Police, officers were called to Sciota Street for a suspicious vehicle Around 2 a.m. on Jan. 30.

When they arrived, they found 35-year-old Robert Q. Brown dead on the ground near his car.

During the course of their investigation, police identified 37-year-old Carlos Anthony Thompson as a suspect.

On Tuesday, police questioned Thompson. During questioning, Thompson admitted to shooting Brown and was taken into custody.

Thompson is now facing a list of charges including, criminal homicide, murder and robbery.
