Arnold Palmer Regional Airport Evacuated Due To Unattended Bag

LATROBE (KDKA) -- The Arnold Palmer Regional Airport was evacuated Saturday afternoon due to an unattended bag.

State police were on the scene around 2:45 p.m.

Westmoreland County emergency dispatchers say a bag was left unattended, and the airport was evacuated.

Officials tell KDKA that the Pennsylvania State Police provided special screening equipment, as well as a robot -- which moved the package to another part of the airport hangar.

The "all-clear" was given around 4 p.m. after the bag was examined.

Maple syrup, a watch, a bottle of cologne and headphones were found inside.
