According to Pittsburgh Public Safety officials, officers found a 32-year-old man in a courtyard. He had been shot multiple times.

Dozens of officers were on the scene, and multiple evidence markers were on the ground.

"I just heard some gunshots," neighbor Kim Watkins said. "They were just real loud. It sounded like it was real close."

The man was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

"There are kids up here, and I think the violence should just stop," one neighbor said. "Elderly people."

Police took someone into custody, but it's unclear if that person is connected to the shooting.

There's no information on suspects at this time.

The investigation continues.
