Police Investigating Shooting In Arlington Heights

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Police are investigating after a shooting in the city's Arlington Heights section on Wednesday afternoon.

Police say two men knocked on the door of an apartment in the 3100 block of Cordell Place, and then got into a fight with two men who were inside.

It escalated and shots were fired.

Investigators say one man was shot in the leg and is now in stable condition. Police say the other suffered a head injury. It was initially believed he was grazed by a bullet, but investigators say that was not the case.

The victims, both 26, were taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital. The man with the head injury is in critical but stable condition.

"The two males that were inside of the apartment were the ones that were shot, so the circumstances and all of the facts of the shooting is something that we'll determine during the course of the investigation," said Pittsburgh Police spokeswoman Emily Schaffer.

Police say they believe the two shooters got away in a blue vehicle.
