April The Giraffe's Calf Has Been Named
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Say hello to Tajiri.
April the giraffe's calf finally has a name.
Millions watched and waited for April the giraffe to give birth at the Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, New York.
The Animal Adventure Park debuted the new calf's name Monday morning. Voters paid for their ballots, with the funds going to charities and improvements at the park.

The name means "hope" in Swahili.
The other nine finalists: Apollo, Geoffrey, Gio, Harpur, Noah, Ollie, Patch, Patches and Unity.
