Apollo Woman 110 Years "Young"

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – It's not everyday that someone in our area turns 110 years old.

But it did happen Tuesday for Grace Young, from Apollo.

She spent the day celebrating her 110th birthday.

Family and friends -- including five generations of family members -- were out to celebrate her big day at the West Haven Manor Nursing Home.

And don't let her age fool you, she says she's still "hip" and "with it."

"I look, well, same as everybody I guess," she said.

Young lives in a nursing home, but didn't move there until she turned 109 years old.

"I never wished to be 110, never thought of it," she continued. "Didn't think I would live to 110, really. And I never even thought of that."

Young says the key to living a long life: just live regularly.
