Animal Rescue League: Gracie Able To Walk Again

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- There's more good news for the little dog found abandoned and unable to walk on her back legs earlier this year in Penn Hills.

A new video posted on the Animal Rescue League's Facebook page shows Gracie, a beagle mix, is now able to walk.

Since she was found on the side of the road back in January, Gracie has been getting intensive physical therapy to regain the use of her legs.

She was adopted by a couple who are experienced pet owners at the end of March.

Her family says she's still a bit unsteady, but the physical therapy has helped her progress, including in helping her to wag her tail again, too.

When she was taken in by the animal shelter and her story began circulating, offers to help her poured in from people all around the area.

She also received a custom-built wheelchair earlier this to help her get around.
