Andy Warhol's Brother Passes Away

ASPINWALL (AP) — Paul Warhola, a World War II Navy Veteran and elder brother of the artist Andy Warhol, has died. He was 91.

John N. Bauer, director of the Elmer L. Herman Funeral Home, says Warhola died Wednesday at St. Margaret's Hospital in Aspinwall. That's just outside Pittsburgh.

Warhola was the first son of Carpatho-Rusyn immigrants, and owned two successful scrap businesses in and near Pittsburgh. Later in life he also made paintings using chicken's feet, and he had a lifelong love of art.

Warhola is survived by his wife Anne, who he was married to for more than 71 years, and seven children.

A service is scheduled for Feb. 7 at St. John's Byzantine Cathedral in Munhall, and burial for Feb. 8 at Mt. Macrina Byzantine Catholic Cemetery in Uniontown.
