Ambridge Church Damaged By Fire

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Firefighters worked to put out flames at a Beaver County church Saturday.

It started at Ambridge United Presbyterian Church on Maplewood Avenue in Ambridge.

Officials say roofers were working on the church's roof, when a procedure requiring heat set the roof ablaze.

Pictures from the scene show damage to the second story of the building.

The fire has since been brought under control.
