Allegheny County Police Officer Involved In Car Accident In Turtle Creek

TURTLE CREEK (KDKA) -- An Allegheny County Police Officer was involved in a two-vehicle accident when responding to a domestic disturbance in Turtle Creek on Saturday night.

Turtle Creek Police initially responded to the call but requested help from other departments as the 18-year-old perpetrator fled the scene in a vehicle.

When Allegheny County Police was responding to the call, the 18-year-old's car collided head-on at the intersection of Ninth Street and Airbrake Avenue.

The officer and perpetrator were both transported to a local hospital following the crash.

The officer was treated and released for nect and torso injuries.

The perpetrator, Justin Towner, is currently still in the hospital and being evaluated for mental health purposes.

He will be taken to the Allegheny County Jail once he is released.
