Allegheny Co. Health Dept. Says Coronavirus-Related Death Total Climbs To 18, Total Cases Increases To 788
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Allegheny County Health Department announced six more Coronavirus-related deaths, as well as 29 new cases of the virus on Thursday.
That brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in the county to 788, and a total of 18 deaths. Earlier in the day, the health department says it misread and misreported data regarding the deaths. There are 18 coronavirus-related deaths in the county, not 20 as previously reported.
All the victims have been over the age of 65.
Of the coronavirus patients in the county, 124 have been or are hospitalized.
When the data was pulled for this morning's COVID-19 daily update, the information regarding deaths was misread. There were 18 deaths as a result of COVID-19, not 20. The other two deaths were in testing data, but one test was negative and one was inconclusive. pic.twitter.com/Fm1PpIQw2Y
