Police say 22-year-old Rasaun Taylor died at the scene.

Another victim of the shooting was found on 300 block of Cedar Avenue and had a gunshot wound to the foot. Medics transported him in stable condition to a local hospital.

The overnight shooting has left neighbors shaken.

"We live right across from the park. It's a little concerning and [I] noticed a lot of increase in shootings in the city lately," said Bill Sellner, who lives on the North Side.

Bill and Ellen Sellner moved to Cedar Avenue about four years ago. They say they love the neighborhood, except for days like this.

"It's challenging because it's a beautiful part of the city, but there's this growing element that creates a lot of uneasiness," said Bill.

The Sellners say community members meet monthly to find solutions to stop the violence.

"The police force is out and about in a stronger force, and that makes us feel a lot safer and everybody on those community boards want good things to happen," said Ellen.

And to show extra support to one another, especially families who find themselves grieving like taylor's.

"I'm really sorry for your loss," said Ellen. "That's beyond devastating; you get that call that your kid is gone, dead, shot. I send my heartfelt condolences and sympathies. People say that all the time, but I truly feel that."

Pittsburgh Police are still looking for the gunman and trying to pinpoint a motive for the shooting.
