Aliquippa Teen Crashes Bicycle Into Vehicle, Flown To Hospital

ALIQUIPPA (KDKA) – A teenager riding his bike was injured when he crashed into a vehicle in Beaver County Monday morning.

According to police, the incident happened in the 1300 block of Kennedy Boulevard in Aliquippa around 11:30 a.m.

The 16-year-old male entered a busy street from a side street and ran into a moving car.

The teen was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital with a leg injury, but it is not believed to be life-threatening.

No charges have been filed against the driver.

Police say the incident is a good reminder about bicycle safety as we head into the summer.

Bicyclists are advised to be careful, while drivers are urged to be aware of people riding bicycles on the streets.
