Adventurous Eaters Nosh On Bugs At Pop-Up "Pestaurant"

STRIP DISTRICT (KDKA) – Adventurous eater gathered at a pop up "pestaurant" in the Strip District.

That's right, a pestaurant – or pest restaurant, specializing in insects.

Bug-loving Pittsburghers at items like BBQ mealworms, roasted crickets and ant lollipops. There was even a cricket-eating contest.

The event was hosted by Ehrlich Pest Control.

Fortunately for the participants, the "meals" were free. And for each bug a person ate, Ehrlich's made a donation to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
