Additional Charges Filed Against Sexual Assault Suspect

GREENSBURG (KDKA) -- An alleged child molester is now facing additional charges.

Thomas Deglau, 55, is accused of videotaping a 5-year-old girl he was supposed to be babysitting.

Deglau's wife turned him into police after authorities say she allegedly walked in on him naked in the basement with the girl.

She reported the incident and turned videotapes over to police.

Investigators watched the tapes and say they discovered a second victim, a 2-year old girl.

"We reviewed all the videos seized from the residence, as well as those provided and we filed addition charges," said Westmoreland County Assistant District Attorney Leo Ciaramitaro.

Deglau now faces 57 counts ranging from rape to indecent assault.

He waived his preliminary hearing and headed back to the Westmoreland County Jail where he's being held on $50,000 straight cash bond.

His trial date has not be set.
