Additional 12 Million Vehicles Recalled For Defective Airbags

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- After more than a year of announcing recalls, 12 million more vehicles are being recalled due to defective Takata airbags.

CBS News reports that Honda recalled more than 4.5 million vehicles Friday, and Fiat Chrysler recalled 4.3 million.

Earlier this week, Toyota recalled 1.6 million vehicles.

The faulty airbags have been responsible for at least 11 deaths, including the death of one local boy, and numerous injuries worldwide.
