90-Year-Old Man Shot And Killed In Targeted Attack In Hazelwood

HAZELWOOD (KDKA) -- A 90-year-old man has died after being shot in his pickup truck on in Hazelwood.

Police arrested Anthony Miller, 27-years-old of White Oak, and charged him with homicide and robbery in connection to the shooting.

Police responded to a 911 call about the shooting at the 800 block of Hazelwood Avenue around 9:50 a.m.

The victim, Samuel Rende, had been shot in the head. Medics transported him to the hospital. He was initially listed in critical condition but died at the hospital.

Reportedly, Miller shot out the driver's side window, striking Rende, who was sitting in the passenger seat.

He was the only person in the vehicle.
