5 Rescued From New Kensington Suspected Arson

NEW KENSINGTON (KDKA) – Five people were rescued from a house fire early Sunday morning in New Kensington.

According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the fire broke out at a three-story home in the 200-block of Ridge Avenue around 3 a.m.

New Kensington Police were able to rescue three children and two adults.

When emergency crews arrived at the scene, the fire had reached all three floors of the home. The fire also spread and damaged a neighboring home.

The fire is being investigated as arson and the home where it started is believed to be a total loss.

There are no reported injuries.
