5 Pirates Players Placed On Disabled List

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pittsburgh Pirates have made several roster moves this weekend.

Five players have been placed on the 15-day Disabled List, including Jaff Decker, Brandon Cumpton, Chris Steward, Justin Sellers and Charlie Morton.

Morton is currently recovering from surgery on his right hip and Cumpton is recovering from surgery on his right elbow. Decker, Stewart and Sellers are suffering various strains.

With these players currently out, Rob Scahill has been recalled from Indianapolis.

The Pirates also say Stolmy Pimentel and Pedro Florimon have been designated for assignment.
