5 Charged In Theft Scheme At Indiana Co. Walmart

INDIANA, Pa. (KDKA) -- State police in Indiana County have arrested and charged five people accused in an alleged theft scheme at a local Walmart.

The suspects have been identified by state police as Ian Nixon of Robinson, Melissa Miller of New Florence, Jamie Hall of Bolivar, as well as Nicole Keppler and Courtland Beach both of Armagh.

The incident happened at the Walmart on Plaza Drive in Burrell Township on Christmas Eve.

Investigators say while the suspects were in the Walmart, one of them stole refrigerator filters and then left the store.

According to state police, another suspect then returned the filters for a gift card and a third suspect used the card to buy other items.

All five are facing theft and conspiracy charges.
