5 Arrested After Gunfire Near Crafton Heights School

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police arrested five people after shots were fired near a school in Crafton Heights this afternoon, prompting a lock down.

The shots were fired about a block from the Pittsburgh School for the Gifted on Woodlow Street.

The school was immediately locked down.

Police found some leads that led them to an apartment complex nearby.

That's where they arrested the five people.

They also reportedly found an assault-style weapon there.

The lock down at the school has since been lifted.
