5-Alarm Fire Reported At Downtown Building

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A five-alarm fire was reported at a Downtown building Monday afternoon.

It happened in the 600 block of Fort Duquesne Boulevard, on the fourth floor.

The building was believed to be vacant. However, officials believe that squatters may have been staying inside the building.

Firefighters reported heavy smoke and a smell of rubber.

Police say they believe someone was burning material in a barrel.
