5 Injured In Ladder/Scaffolding Accident

EAST DEER (KDKA) – Five people were hurt when a ladder or scaffolding-type structure collapsed in East Deer Monday morning.

According to police, the victims were roofing contractors doing work at Weleski Transfer on Treadway Lane.

Of the five injured roofers, two were air-lifted to Pittsburgh hospitals, two were taken by ambulance and one refused treatment.

The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
