Investigators Now Claim Stabbing Suspect May Have Targeted Specific Students

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – New details are filtering in about the stabbings last week at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville.

Investigators have taken many items from the suspect's house.

Authorities have taken many items from the home of Alex Hribal, including a Chicago cutlery knife holder, missing two knives – the weapons believed to have been used in the attack.
Also taken was a computer and a significant amount of computer equipment.

Police also grabbed a notebook of white paper, with notes described as Alex Hribal's.

Along with computers, police also took several video game consoles and several video games, including "Call of Duty" and "Medal of Honor."

His lawyer says it still doesn't appear like Hribal had any intended target.

"No, I don't think so, I don't think so at all, there was no specific target," said Hribal's attorney Pat Thomassey.

New information released by police may contradict that statement though.

The claim is that students at Franklin Regional High School received threatening phone messages from someone who is believed to be Hribal.

The FBI is also investigating an incident the night before the stabbing, where it's now believed Hribal called someone saying he would "(expletive) them up."

Hribal's attorney refutes that though.

"He was home all night with his parents," Thomassey said.

And Monday night, sources also said investigators were looking into allegations of what's described as a disturbing hazing incident possibly carried out against Hribal in the week prior to the stabbing incident.

"It's obvious, something went haywire," Thomassey said.
