3 Pitt Panthers Earn Weekly Player Awards

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - The Pitt Panthers' impressive 30-20 road victory over ACC opponent Boston College netted not only a win, but also three ACC Weekly Player Awards.

Running back James Conner, for the second week in a row, was named the ACC's top offensive back after rushing for 214 yards and a touchdown on 36 carries.

On the year now, Conner has rushed for 367 yards in two games and five touchdowns.

Conner leads the ACC and ranks fourth nationally with an average of 183.5 rushing yards per game, while also leading the conference in scoring and being fifth nationally in that category.

The other two award recipients were senior offensive tackle T.J. Clemmings, who was selected as Offensive Lineman of the Week. Sophomore kicker Chris Blewitt was also named Specialist of the Week.
