3 Injured In Carrick Deck Collapse

CARRICK (KDKA) -- Three people were injured in a deck collapse Tuesday afternoon in Carrick.

It happened around 3 p.m. in the 300-block of Becks Run Road.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were all called to the scene where it appears a railing fell during the collapse.

"I could feel the deck giving way, and my son reached out to grab me, and when he did, the deck was coming away from the building, pulling me, I was pulling him, and down we both went," said Dan O'Keefe, Sr., one of the victims.

One man's leg became trapped under some debris.

All three who were injured were checked out at the hospital. They are all okay.
