$250,000 In Rolexes Taken From Altoona Mall

ALTOONA, Pa. (AP) - Police are searching for three men a jeweler says stole about $250,000 worth of Rolex watches from a central Pennsylvania mall.

The suspect's used hammers to smash the display cases and grab 16 Rolex watches Wednesday night at Kranich's Jewelers in at the Logan Valley Mall near Altoona. That's about 85 miles east of Pittsburgh.

About 10 people were in the store at the time when the men entered, about 15 minutes before closing. President Mike Kranich Jr. says the men ran toward the mall's parking garage through an exit that's just a few feet from the store's entrance.

Logan Township police Chief Ron Heller says the suspects got away with 16 watches.

Security footage shows the robbers weren't wearing masks. The investigation was continuing.
