VA Pittsburgh says ammo was not missing from order

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The VA said all its ammunition is accounted for after it earlier reported that about 2,000 rounds were missing from an order.  

Earlier this week, the VA said an investigation was underway to find out what happened to the rounds missing from the order delivered to the facility in Pittsburgh.  

But on Friday, the VA said it talked with the manufacturer and learned only 51 boxes were shipped and it did receive 51 boxes. 

The VA said it's reviewing its internal process "to preclude recurrence." 

The ammunition is used for police training, the VA said.
