SOMERSET TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- State police in Washington County are looking for two suspects involved in a theft Saturday afternoon at a restaurant.

Investigators are not releasing the name of the business, but say it happened in Somerset Township around 1:30 p.m.

According to police, one of the suspects stayed in a van parked out front while the other went inside to order food. The man sat near the cash register, and eventually placed a second order for takeout.

Police say when the clerks left the register; the suspect reached over the counter and took many of the larger bills inside. He then left and got into the maroon-colored Chrysler minivan parked out front.

The van, with out-of-state plates and tinted windows, was last seen heading towards Interstate 70.

The suspect that went inside the business is described as a white male, age 25 to 35. He was skinny with long, sandy hair.

The suspect that stayed in the vehicle is described as an African American male with a larger build.

They got away with about $1,000.
