2 Shot Following Fight On South Side

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police are investigating after two people were shot on the South Side overnight.

It happened around 1 a.m. at Wharton Avenue and 22nd Street.

Police say a 29-year-old man was found in the street with a gunshot wound to his ankle. A second victim, a 24-year-old male, was found nearby on East Carson Street with a gunshot wound to the groin.

Both have since been treated and released from the hospital.

Police say it's believed that they were shot following a fight that broke out on East Carson Street.

No word on any arrests.
