3 Transported To The Hospital After Stabbing At Motel In Harmar Township

HARMAR TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - Police and medics were called to a Harmar Township motel for an incident where three people were transported to the hospital.

The incident happened at the Valley Motel on Freeport Road.

Police said a 33-year-old man had a stab wound to the abdomen, a 38-year-old man had multiple lacerations and a 56-year-old man had a broken hand.

The Harmar Township Police Chief said there was a family dispute at the motel, where the 38-year-old man was staying with his girlfriend.

Officials said an argument ensued on the phone between the couple and the girlfriend's 56-year-old father and 33-year-old brother.

The father and brother came to the hotel and confronted the boyfriend, police said.

A fight that featured a knife ensued, causing the injuries.

The 33-year-old man is in critical condition, police said.

After the facts of the case were presented to the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office, a recommendation was made to not file any charges.
