2 Injured In Route 51 Dump Truck Crash

FORWARD TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Two people were injured when a dump truck collided with another vehicle in Forward Township Monday morning.

According to officials at the scene, the accident happened on Route 51 near Rodney Lane around 5:45 a.m.

As a result of the crash, the dump truck ended up on its side. It was carrying crushed coal, which spilled onto the road.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries in the crash, but the truck driver was taken to the hospital.

One lane of Route 51 has been closed in each direction as of 7:30 a.m.
