2 Face New Charges In Spring Hill Toddler's Death

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Two people already accused in the death of a Spring Hill toddler on June 17 now face much more serious charges.

Sondra Rector, 24, and her male companion, 62-year-old William Kablach now each face a count of involuntary manslaughter in the death of 18-month-old Naveah Andiorio.

The new criminal complaint says a urine test during the autopsy "was positive for opiates."

The night they were arrested, Rector told police Kablach had left a morphine pill near the toddler.

Kablach accused Rector of using heroin inside the Zane Way home.

Rector watched as paramedics performed CPR Tuesday, trying desperately to save the child's life. She was later pronounced dead.

Kablach has already been re-arraigned on the new charges. He was jailed, but later posted bond.

Rector has not been arraigned on the new count.

In another twist, KDKA was inside the same home back in March. Kablach was the victim of a brutal home invasion. He was interviewed about the attack.
