14-Year-Old Arrested In Connection With Bomb Threats Made To Schools

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy from Clairton in connection with several bomb threats made against local schools.

The threats caused three Pittsburgh Public Schools to be evacuated in September.

Police say the juvenile faces 33 counts of felony terroristic threats, 15 counts of felony threats to use a weapon of mass destruction and 16 misdemeanor counts.

Detectives traced the calls and realized they were made from the same person.

The teen is currently undergoing outpatient mental health treatment while awaiting trial.
