1 Man Wounded In Knoxville Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Police are investigating after a man was wounded when gunfire rang out Friday night in the city's Knoxville section.

According to Public Safety Department officials, a Port Authority bus driver reported seeing a young man firing a silver revolver just before 11:30 p.m. while driving through the intersection of Zara and Amanda streets.

Police searched the area, but didn't find anything.

But just after midnight, officials say a man arrived at UPMC Mercy Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the right arm.

The vehicle he arrived in was struck by a bullet as well.

Police say there were other people in that vehicle, but they were not hurt.

The victim was treated and released.

Police continue to investigate.
