1 Injured In Hill District Shooting

HILL DISTRICT (KDKA) – Pittsburgh Police are investigating after a man was shot multiple times in the Hill District Wednesday night.

According to police, officers heard shots in the area of Centre Avenue around 10 p.m.

When they responded to the area, they were directed to a parking lot near the intersection of Hemans and Elmore Streets. There, they found a 23-year-old man suffering from two gunshot wounds. They also found multiple shell casings in the vicinity.

He was transported to UPMC Mercy Hospital in critical condition, but was later upgraded to stable.

The victim told police a dark sedan pulled up and opened fire as he walked along the street with two other males.
